Daniel F. Cardozo Pinto, Ph.D. is a postdoctoral fellow in the Uchida lab investigating neuromodulatory mechanisms underlying substance abuse disorder. He holds a PhD in Neurosciences from Stanford University where his doctoral research in Dr. Robert Malenka's lab uncovered that dopamine and serotonin form a gas-brake system for reward in the mammalian brain. Before that, he completed undergraduate studies in Psychology and Molecular & Cell Biology at UC Berkeley, working in the lab of Dr. Stephan Lammel.
